
LTX 2.5 arrived with a claim that matters beyond a single clip: native multishot generation designed to preserve character, scene, lighting, style, and voice across cuts. That is promising, but a launch-page sentence is not a continuity result. A useful character consistency test needs a fixed three-shot scene, observable anchors, and a record of each seam.

It compares prompt-only and image-led routes, aligns their intent, and scores transitions instead of one photogenic frame. This is an editorial test, not a benchmark of LTX. Use licensed inputs and label conclusions as observations.
MultiSeam Trial 1 — Lock one three-cut control strip
Start with one compact scene containing a clear arrival, a middle action, and a departure. The test object is the full strip, not three unrelated prompts. Keep the same duration target, aspect ratio, delivery frame rate, spoken line, and camera logic for both routes.
MultiSeam 01 — Arrival frame
Write a shot-one setup that establishes identity and geography in a single glance. For example: an adult courier enters a blue-tiled station from screen left, carrying a red hard case in the right hand. A warm overhead lamp is the key light; a green timetable glows in the deep background. Avoid decorative details you will not score.
Save the first clear face, a full-frame reference, and the exact prompt as opening evidence. If the face is already unstable inside shot one, mark an opening failure before judging later cuts.
MultiSeam 02 — Hinge gesture
Ask the courier to place the red case on a waist-high counter, rotate it clockwise, and look toward an off-screen announcement. The gesture exposes hand ownership, prop orientation, gaze direction, and screen geography.
Do not replace a difficult action with an easier one after seeing the first output. The hinge is useful precisely because it creates several connected obligations. Record the last clean frame before the cut and the first clean frame after it. Those two frames matter more than the most cinematic moment in the sequence.
MultiSeam 03 — Exit frame
The closing beat should resolve the action without introducing a new character or location. The courier closes the case, hears the same announcement end, and exits toward screen right. The counter remains in place; the warm key light and green background sign still define the station.
Write one acceptance sentence before generating: “The same adult, red case, station geography, light direction, and voice remain identifiable through the exit.”
MultiSeam 04 — Ratio, cadence, duration
The official model page lists Fast and Pro variants plus supported portrait and landscape resolutions, frame rates, and durations. It also says Fast reaches higher resolution tiers than Pro and that automatic duration can be requested on supported text- and image-to-video routes. Treat those values as current documentation, not permanent defaults. Recheck them on the official support matrix before every dated test.
For a fair route comparison, choose one supported delivery envelope and keep it fixed. Record model variant, endpoint, resolution, frames per second, duration value, seed if exposed, prompt-enhancement state, camera-motion setting, generation time, and filename. If an interface hides a control, write “not exposed” rather than guessing its value.
MultiSeam Trial 2 — Fingerprint what must cross the cut
“Looks consistent” is too vague to reproduce. Convert the scene into an anchor matrix with one row per obligation and one column per shot. Each cell records pass, soft drift, hard break, or not observable. Review the sequence once at normal speed, once muted, once audio-only, and once frame by frame around each seam.
MultiSeam 05 — Actor fingerprint
The actor row should contain only stable, visible traits: apparent age band, face shape, hairline, hairstyle, skin tone, jacket silhouette, and one small distinctive cue. Do not score momentary expression as identity. A smile can change; jaw shape should not.
Create a three-frame contact strip at the same crop. A different apparent person, major age shift, or changed facial geometry is a hard break; a small recoverable detail is soft drift.
MultiSeam 06 — Geography compass
Draw a tiny map: entrance on the left, counter in the center, exit on the right, timetable behind. Add the courier’s screen direction and the case’s position at the end of each shot. This turns scene continuity into spatial evidence instead of memory.
A cut fails when the counter jumps sides without an intentional reverse angle, the courier exits the way they entered, or the case appears beyond the hand that placed it.
MultiSeam 07 — Illumination signature
Record key-light direction, warmth, contrast, and the background sign’s color. Do not demand pixel-identical lighting; demand a believable continuation. If the light flips from camera left to camera right at a cut with no motivated source, mark it. If exposure changes because the camera faces the bright sign, note the motivation.

MultiSeam 08 — Prop and voice carryover
Give the red case its own row: hand, position, orientation, latch state, and surface wear. For sound, note speaker identity, line, language, room tone, and whether the announcement continues naturally. The LTX API changelog shows that LTX 2.5 supports text-, image-, and audio-to-video paths and that audio controls have continued to change, so date the route you actually used.
Do not infer native audio continuity from visuals alone. If the interface returns a silent clip, mark audio not observable. If a voice changes between cuts, preserve the file and timecode even when the visual strip passes.
MultiSeam Trial 3 — Split prompt-only from keyframe-led generation
The prompt-only pass tests what language can carry; the image-led pass tests whether a visual anchor helps the same scene. Compare only matched creative intent and delivery settings.
MultiSeam 09 — Prompt seed
Write one compact prompt with the three beats in chronological order. Put immutable anchors before ornamental style. Use the same names for the courier, case, station, light, and screen direction throughout. The official documentation describes native multishot behavior; it does not guarantee that every long prompt will prioritize every detail equally.
Save the raw prompt and any revealed enhanced prompt. When automatic duration is enabled, record it; the documentation distinguishes an explicit null from an absent required value.
MultiSeam 10 — Image seed
Choose the approved arrival frame as the image reference and describe the same three beats. This image to video workflow should keep the story, anchors, and delivery envelope aligned with the prompt-only pass. The only intentional change is the visual starting reference.
If the route uses a last-frame reference, record it as another changed variable and do not compare it directly with a route that lacks one. LTX notes a constraint between automatic duration and a last-frame input, so verify the current rule before building the pair.
MultiSeam 11 — Shared-setting receipt
Place both jobs on one receipt: route, prompt, input hashes, model, resolution, fps, duration, audio, camera motion, timestamp, attempt, output hash, and unavailable controls.

MultiSeam Trial 4 — Judge the seams, not the hero frame
Score each cut: 0 preserved, 1 usable drift, 2 distracting break, 3 sequence-breaking failure. Keep the four classes separate; a stable face cannot cancel a prop teleport or voice reset.
MultiSeam 12 — Identity rupture
Compare the actor contact strip and watch the cut at reduced speed. Score facial geometry, apparent age, hair, wardrobe, and distinctive cue. A reviewer should be able to explain the score with a frame pair: “The jaw narrows after cut one,” not “The person feels different.”
MultiSeam 13 — Spatial reset
Use the geography compass to check entrances, exits, eyelines, counter placement, prop position, lens logic, and background depth.
MultiSeam 14 — Acoustic reset
Listen without looking. Check voice identity, pronunciation, speech rhythm, room tone, and the continuity of the announcement. Record the timecode of any pop, abrupt ambience change, or new apparent speaker. Do not score a silent output as a pass.
MultiSeam 15 — Gesture discontinuity
Scrub the hand-case interaction. The case should move along a plausible arc, the same hand should remain responsible, and the latch state should follow the action. Note whether the cut hides an impossible move or genuinely continues it.
MultiSeam Trial 5 — Patch one failed variable at a time
The final artifact is not a winner label. It is a correction card that turns an observed break into the next controlled attempt. Keep the original exports; otherwise a later improvement has no baseline.
MultiSeam 16 — Constraint patch
Patch the highest-severity failure with one observable instruction: “The red case remains in the courier’s right hand until it rests clockwise on the center counter.” Preserve everything else.
MultiSeam 17 — Reference substitution
Change the visual reference only when the evidence points to identity, wardrobe, or scene ambiguity that language did not resolve. Choose a frame with a clear face, clean silhouette, readable prop relationship, and the intended light. Log the old and new reference hashes.
MultiSeam 18 — Shot rerun or sequence reset
Rerun one shot when the break is local and the surrounding anchors are sound. Reset the full sequence when geography, identity, or audio logic collapses across multiple cuts. Set the rule before retrying—for example, any class-3 break or two class-2 breaks triggers a reset.
