An AI clothes changer lets you visualize another outfit on a person in an existing photo. Start by deciding whether you already have a garment reference or need ideas from a written fashion brief. Those tasks use different inputs.

Choose the right workflow

Use Edit clothing when you have a source photo and a garment to try. Choose a preset or upload a clothing reference. For a written instruction about an existing image, open Chat to edit. To invent a new outfit image from a description, use Generate image → Chat to Generate. A prompt for a new look is not a substitute for the garment input in Edit clothing.

Prepare the person and garment

Choose a clear source image with the intended clothing area visible. Use an unobstructed garment reference with a readable silhouette, neckline, sleeves and fabric. Match the category to the task: Upper body, Lower body or Dresses. Start with one garment so that you can compare its details easily.

How to use Edit clothing in the current app

1. Sign in and enter the Workstation. If you do not need a saved portrait model, use Continue with No Model; creating a portrait model is optional.

2. Open Image → Edit image → Edit clothing.

3. Under Source image, choose Select content or Upload image and select the person photo.

4. Choose Upper body, Lower body or Dresses. Select a garment preset or upload your own clothing reference.

5. Check both inputs and the displayed credit cost, then generate. Compare the result with the source and garment before saving.

Do I need a prompt for Edit clothing?

The Edit clothing interface checked on 29 October 2026 uses image inputs and garment categories; it does not have a text prompt box. Do not paste a fashion prompt into a field from a different workflow. For text-directed editing, switch to Chat to edit.

A checked example: source photo plus a garment preset

In the 29 October 2026 walkthrough, a portrait wearing a white blazer was paired with the green “top5” preset. The Edit clothing job completed and used 40 credits. This is one example of the workflow and its recorded cost, not a fixed price for every generation.

What to check before using an outfit image

Compare the neckline, sleeve shape, color, seams, pattern placement and shadows with the reference. For a shop listing, check logos and product-specific details individually. A generated outfit image is a visual concept, not a garment measurement or a confirmation of physical fit. Change one input at a time when comparing alternatives.

Is it free, and how many credits does it use?

Check your account balance and the cost shown before generating. Credit allowances, plans and generation settings can change. The 40-credit example above documents one completed job; it does not mean unlimited free try-ons.

Can I use the result in a campaign?

Use photos and garment assets you are authorized to use. Check the current service terms and the rights attached to your inputs before publishing a commercial image.
